Update on Norton's day's...

Tristen, caught in the act of chewing on his camel pack straw.

Poor Tristen he has been very sick for 5 days, now we got a phone call last night saying his strep test came back positive so he now has antibiotics so he can get better.
Thank you Kaden for watching Brit while aunt Tawni helped mom Blog. (Kaden loves Baby's)

This is typical to see, give the twins an open area and a ball, and soon there will be a game going on.
Some of these pictures are from Saturday. We went to Usery Pass Park where we had a ward activity, and took a short hike and had lunch. It was actually quite relaxing and beautiful. I had a chance to take a little walk with the caboose, at least until he abandoned me for the rest of the kids, I am getting to that age where I will take what I can get.

We have had enough with illness!! I have had Gunnar home almost all week this week and on Wednesday the school nurse called and said that Tristen was in her office and had a high fever so now I have Gunnar and Tristen home .(just want my life back!!!) hopefully after a weekend of nothing but rest life will be back to normal but I doubt it this flu seems to run through the whole family I am told oh well I guess that is why I have the title of MOTHER. I should just be thankful that I can be home taking care of my boys right... Tristen is sad because he wont be playing football tomorrow but Kaden is back and looking forward to playing again he is hoping it does not rain again and I know that Tristen will back next weekend. As usuall, we are still busy as ever. Holden and Gunnar are defending the ward teams
undefeated record. It is fun to watch them play, and play together, they are both pretty good and getting better all the time. I have been ask more than once by the referees' if I would like to dawn the black and white stripes and join them. Of coarse my answer was no, only to hear their reply, " Well then I suggest you keep your comments to yourself...Brother Norton." It is really really hard not to comment on bad calls. Holden is always working on getting his muscles to grow, he is finally realizing that things don't happen overnight and that....hard work pays off. Gunnar is striving to be the first short White Man that can jump, he spends time every day (usually before homework) taking jump shot after jump shot.
As for Kaden, he is doing much better. he is getting alot of mobility back in his knee. After last weeks set back (playing ball in the front yard and slipping on the wet grass) we decided to hold him back for another couple games. You can see in the pictures that even though the knee isn't as tender anymore it is still quite disfigured. I think he faces alittle fear every time he thinks about taking another shot on the knee, as could be expected. He does ask everyday if he's going to play in the games. Tristen is really taking up the slack for him.. Last week in our game(which we lost, so sad) he had several long runs, and a few sakes and several tackles.
Ryker, is just Ryker. what more can be said.

Our New 1st Presidency

Today we had the privledge to watch the news conferance from Salt Lake, about the announcement of our new First Presidency. I have been praying in the recent days that when the announcement came out that the Spirit affirm to me that this was God's will. As I watched, almost as anxious to hear about Pres. Monsons Councilors, as I was to hear the official word that he would be the Prophet. The Spirit did reassure to me that this is God's will, that these three men are called of God at this time to lead us and guide us as we continue on in this era of life. It was most exciting to learn that Elder Uchtdorf would serve as one of his councilors. I was surprised, but am most grateful for that testifing spirit that overwhelmed my heart as I listened to these three great men address us. We are so fortunate to have this gospel in our lives, to be able to have modern day prophets that I know have the true Priesthood of God, and are in direct communication with him and the savior continuosly to be our guiding lights.
